Mt. Tibadabo and FC BARCELONA

The view from one side of
the top of the cathedral

Yesterday morning at 10:30 am, Anavi and I met a group of AIFS advisers and students to get on a bus to head up Mt. Tibadabo. At the top of this  1,679.790026 foot mountain (yes I had to put the decimal points) there is a beautiful cathedral and small theme park. The theme park is outrageously expensive for the amount of rides there are so we skipped it and went to the top of the cathedral. You can take an elevator to the middle and then take the stairs the rest of the way. The view from the top is extraordinary. After the whole group had explored the cathedral, we went on a 6 mile hike. It was such a great work out with a beautiful view and great company :)

Today has been another extraordinary experience. I went to a FC Barcelona match and it was so much fun to experience the atmosphere created by all the fans who truly love the game. The game started off with a bang but not in a good way. Within a few minutes Messi was down and hurt. Once I got home (and got a wifi conection) I found out he seriously injured his knee and will be out for 7 to 8 weeks! Barca must be bummed. On the plus side they beat Las Palmas 2-1!
This was my first pro fútbol(soccer) match and I got to spend it with my great new friends in my wonderful temporary home.

I have been trying to post this blog post for HOURS!! At least more than 3 hours. My battery power has gone from 100% to 50% and by the time this posts it will definitely be lower. The wifi is horrible today. So if this ever posts...
