The last day of Festival La Mercè de Barcelona 2015

Early this morning, well not so early it just felt really early, Anavi, Krista, Jennifer, and I went to see the Dances of the Eagle and the Giants of the City. Directly after that was the Castellers Show, a show of human towers! It was very impressive. Young children are the ones that are on top of the towers. I can't imagine what it must be like to be on the top, looking down.
After, we headed home to relax and nap before going out to the closing ceremony and final fireworks show. We left later than anticipated so we missed the closing ceremony. Instead, we saw a concert with a lovely orchestra playing music from an assortment of songs from great musicals. On our way to the fireworks we went into a small art gallery and it was amazing. Mom, when you get here, I'm taking you there! You are going to love it more than I do. Here are my 2 favorite pieces.

When we made it to the fireworks it was packed but we found a spot with not to many people and a great view. I love the fireworks here. I think they are so much better than any I've seen in California.
Tired and hungry, we headed home after the fireworks ended.
Though I am sad to see this wonderful festival come to an end, I am looking forward to seeing more of Barcelona in it's everyday life.
