From Oxford to Bath

Help! I'm stuck in an almost
a thousand year old prions!
At 6:00 am this morning, Anavi and I woke up to get ready to spend our last few hours exploring more of Oxford. We left our hostel a few minutes before 7:00 am for Oxford Castle. When we arrived the museum was not open so a part of the park was closed. Non the less, we explored the rest. The Oxford Castle was beautiful. It was a prison when it was first built. Now it is a hotel. While it was a prison it was usually overcrowded as it had a hard time getting rid of its inmates. Most of their inmates were people who were not paying their taxes and/or debt. I assume that the cause of this problem was that each cell had a fireplace and they were served 2 good meals a day. We explored some side streets before going to back to our hostel for breakfast. I didn't try the Vegemite this morning.
Sadly, we caught the 9:00 am bus to Bath. I will be back to Oxford. For school in a few years!
The bus ride to Bath was very green. Every where I looked there was green grass. It was a refreshing site. On the bus, I tried to charge my phone but my converter was too big for the plug. The prongs were right but at the top of the outlet it was to far out for my large converter. After fiddling with it for awhile, I gave up and began to put away my charger. Across the aisle from me, an English guy leaned over and handed me his charger. He let me use it until my phone was charged again. I was astonished by this gesture. It was so very nice of him to let me use his charger. I appreciated it very much.
We arrived in Bath about 11:45 am and made our way to our hostel. Check in wasn't until 2:00 pm so we stored our luggage and made our way into the city. We found a small locally owned cafe for lunch. I got a Jacket Potato with cheese and tuna. It was delicious! And only £3! We took our food to go and ate it in a nearby park. The leaves are falling and changing colors. This is my favorite part of the year.
After our yummy lunch we made our way to the Abbey for a free walking tour of the city. We love walking tours. Especially free walking tours. This tour is run by the city council of Bath. It was very informational and showed us almost all we really wanted to see here.
Roman Baths with disgusting water!
You're not allowed to touch the water
because of the bacteria in it.
After the tour we went to see the Roman Baths. It was very impressive of how intricate the architecture was. Inside the building that is connected to the Roman Baths, it was warm. But outside, it was (and is) freezing cold!

View from my top bunk

Since we still hadn't checked into our hostel, we went to check in. We went up to our room and found that we have a great view out our windows along with comfy beds.

Our soups
For dinner, we went to Sally Lunn's. This is the oldest restaurant and building in Bath. I ordered the dinner special which included Vegetable Soup with Sally Lunn's famous bread, a 4 oz. Sirloin Steak with a Horseradish sauce, and a glass of white wine. I drank the whole glass of wine and enjoyed it. I know, what a surprise! I'm surprised as well.

My steak and veggies

Still freezing once we stepped outside the restaurant, we headed back to the hostel. Now I want nothing more than to get in my pjs, brush my teeth, and go to bed.
