Being sick and then going to a bar

I seem to have gotten the cold everyone has been passing around. When I got home from the Basque Country I was feeling good and thought the cold skipped over me. But Tuesday morning I woke up with a stuffy nose and a sore throat. Hoping it would go away, I took some Dayquil and went about my day. At the end of the day I felt worse. In need of some cough drops I went to a pharmacy. In Spanish, I asked for cough drops. The pharmacist understood me and went to get what I thought were cough drops. Apparently I asked for cold/decongestant pills. Once I got to school I asked Sally if they were okay to take as I couldn't read everything on the box and instructions. When she saw the box she immediately told me that they were great and my cold would be gone in 2 days. You take 2 pills 3 times a day every 6 hours. I'm on my second day of pills and I feel really good. My cold is almost gone. I've only got a slight stuffy nose and sore throat now.
Thursday was a long school day. Thankfully my debate for Argumentation class is not until this coming Tuesday so all I had to do was take notes on the other debates. I have a 4 hour break after Argumentation so I went home to do some homework. Before I did my homework, I took a quick power nap. I usually take a siesta along with the rest of Barcelona between 2:00pm to 4:00pm everyday. I get really tired if I don't take a siesta or at least relax on the couch for awhile. After my break I went back to end my school day with International Relations.
In a few hours, I am going to go explore Park Güell with some friends from AIFS. I am excited to see more of Gaudi's work. It will also be nice to hang out with the people going. All the people I've met here are wonderful and a pleasure to be around.
I have not actually gone out to experience the nightlife while I've been here. I've gone out to events and to eat with friends but not to a bar or anything like that. My roommates Krista and Jennifer realized this and have decided to take me to a bar tonight. Our other roommate Anavi is in Paris for the weekend. I am really excited to go surprisingly. The bar is not my ideal place to socialize but when you're in Spain...
Seeing this written on the metro wall
made my so extremely happy
Since I have no photos to post with this blog, please enjoy this photo of the Deathly Hallows symbol that I found on the metro wall. If you're a Harry Potter nerd, as I proudly am, you will get this. If not, Google it.
