Before the fans filled the stadium |
While watching the game Daniel and I were talking about school and what not. A few minutes after Neymar's goal, the man sitting next to me turns to us and asks if we can talk less because it's distracting him. He told us how at European sporting events they don't talk during the game. He then proceeded to have a light conversation with his friend for the rest of the game. I was surprised by this. We hadn't been talking loudly so the only way we could have been distracting him was if he was eavesdropping on our conversation. From then on we continued to enjoy the game quietly, making quiet comments to each other every once in a while.
In the second half, Suarez scored in the 60th minute with Neymar scoring again in the 83rd minute. Messi is still out with a torn ligament that he injured at the other game I went to. He may be back in time for the Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona game but some say he may not be able to play by then.
Thankfully I live within walking distance of the stadium. The metro is always jam packed after a game.
